A1 Approved Warranty

We have done everything possible to prepare your vehicle to the highest possible standards prior to you taking delivery - but nobody can foresee the unexpected which can ruin even the best planned motoring budget.

In conjunction with A1 Approved warranty, your vehicle is protected against major mechanical breakdown. This warranty has been designed to ensure that in the unlikely event of a breakdown, you will experience minimal inconvenience to yourself.

Components covered

Engine Big end bearings, con rods, crankshaft, camshaft, cam followers, cylinder bores, cylinder head (excluding cracks), distributor drive, flywheel, main bearing, inlet valves, exhaust valves, valve guides, pistons and rings, tappet gear, timing gears, chains, starter ring gear, oil pump, gudgeon pins, small end bearings valve sprints, valve collet, rocker shafts, all internal bushings. Excluding lubricants/filter elements.

Gearbox Gears, synchromesh hubs, selectors, shafts, input shaft, layshaft, mainshaft, reverse idler shaft, selector shaft and selector forks, bearings and bushes. Excluding any external linkages.

Automatic Transmission Gears, clutches, brake bands, valve block, oil pump, drive plate, pinion carrier, sun gear, reverse sun gear, internal shafts, unidirectional clutch, bearings and bushes. Excluding external linkages, adjustments and electrics.

Torque Convertor Casings, impellor, blades, master splines and drive.

Overdrive Gears, shafts, bearings and bushes. Excluding external linkages, adjustments and electrics.

Clutch Clutch plate, clutch cover, thrust bearing and/or release bearing, clutch fork and pivot, master cylinder, slave cylinder. Excluding external linkages and burnt out parts. Limited to one clutch repair during the Policy period.

Differential Crown wheel and pinion, gears, shafts, bearings and bushes, planet gears, thrust washers.

Drive Shafts Half shafts, front and rear wheel external drive shafts, universal joints, constant velocity joints and couplings, but excluding rubber boots.

Suspension Coll springs, leaf sprints and wishbones, shock absorbers, suspension arms, McPherson struts, self levelling reservoir, pump and regulator valve, hydro pneumatic suspension units (excluding pipes).

Steering Rack and pinion steering box, idler box, power steering unit, pump and pressure pipes, reservoir, steering wheel and column lock.

Bearings Failure of the front and rear wheel bearings where mechanical breakdown has occurred causing sudden stoppage of their function.

Cooling SystemWater pump, thermostat and head gasket, radiator (excluding external damage), thermostat housing, viscous fan unit (excluding blades) heater matrix, water valve. All other parts and damage caused by overheating, frost, or as a result of lack of anti-freeze are excluded.

Propshaft Propshaft including universal joints and bearings.

Locks Door and boor locks (excluding accidental damage)

Fuel System Carburettor, fuel pump and injector pump, jets, needles, valves and floats, tank sender unit, gauge and fuel injection systems (excluding injectors and linkage), fuel accumulator, fuel distributor, airflow meter, cold start valve, pressure damper, auxiliary air regulator, timing valve, deceleration valve, overrun but-off valve, D.I.S. unit and controls.

Braking System Servo unit, master cylinder and brake callipers including seals and pistons, wheel cylinders, brake limiter valve, A.B.S. units (excluding electronic control units).

Air ConditioningInternal failure of the compressor, reservoir, evaporator, vacuum pump.

CasingsCasings are covered if they have been damaged by any of the listed parts.
